Fall of 2005 while living in College Station Texas both Katrina and Rita hit the gulf. Evacuees came by the 1,000’s through town.

My passion for serving others in crisis had begun.

2011 an EF 5 tornado hit Joplin,MO. We spent a week serving the community.

Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017. In 2018 I went back to Texas to help with restorations.

The wildfires came to Oregon and we got the opportunity to serve.

Every time I am reminded how providing relief and peace for those in the middle of devastation is at the core of who I am.

Good Grounds is going to be the vessel that allows me the opportunity to provide a place that people can come for an incredible cup of coffee and feel a sense of relief from the world.
